Good news in the mail!

Here’s something you can put in the mail — and you don’t even need to lick a stamp. Leave your donations of canned goods, any other noon-perishables, used cell phones or even “monetary contributions” at your mailbox or on your front porch and your letter carrier will by happy to find them a new home.

It’s the 17th Annual National Association of Letter Carriers and Rural Carrier’s Food Drive, the biggest one-day food drive in the nation, and it’s happening Saturday, May 9th. In 2008, Treasure Valley citizens donated a whopping and record-breaking 208,000 pounds!
