Good suds!

Anyone who’s driven their car through the Metro Express Car Wash knows it’s more like a carnival ride than a dreary ole car wash. The sights! The sounds! Look out — here comes the waterfalls! Uh-oh — the Squiggles of Multi-colored wax! The windstorm!

After the storm, comes the calm — and unending vacuum time! What an awesome place…

…that just got awesomer. Hats off to Metro Express Car Wash for donating a year’s worth of car washes for two Childrens’ Home Society of Idaho charity vans!

Megan Crouch, CHS spokeswoman, said the organization is thrilled.

“We have two vans that provide transportation to children living in our Bridge foster homes and it’s important to us that our vehicles are kept clean,” Crouch said. “Some of our children have already commented on how exciting it is to ride through the wash and another said he had a blast with the free vacuums.”

No doubt.

Besides the all-year van washes, Metro Express has other programs that benefit charity, including putting up free notices on its 15-by-6-foot electronic signs, and providing discounted car wash tickets to charities as fundraising items.

Metro Express has two locations in the Treasure Valley, at 13th and Front in Boise and at Pine Street and Meridian Road in Meridian. For more information, go to or find the company’s Facebook page at . The company’s Twitter page is
